Michael is a recognised thought leader on Future of Work and Future of HR matters. He has served on various think tanks, including the Economist Intelligence Unit and Conference Board. He has spent significant time as CHRO in large organisations in the private sector (Ernst & Young, London) and international public sector (United Nations, New York City) with workforces of +100k people in +140 countries.
As a strategy consultant with Accenture and Deloitte (Managing Director, Partner) he has advised clients on Talent Management, HR and Future of Work matters.
Michael has lectured at a number of business schools in Europe (e.g. seven years at HSG MBA St. Gallen, CH) and since 2018 at Lagos Business School (Lagos, Nigeria). He is a member of the editorial board of Insights Edge (published by LBS Management Hub).
Michael currently serves as Senior Managing Director at Sand Technologies (African Leadership Group). Michael is a certified Systemic Coach, holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Bonn and has recently completed a Bachelor's Degree in African Studies (University of Cologne, 2024).
