The LBS Healthcare Initiative has the mission to improve healthcare outcomes across Nigeria and Africa by collaborating with industry stakeholders to deliver high-quality, specialised healthcare management programmes, advisory services and thought leadership.
We aim to advance healthcare quality through rigorous, innovative research that contributes to sustainable systemic improvement in health solutions and industry growth. The initiative also seeks to ensure significant ethical and societal impact in the healthcare ecosystem.

We provide tailored consulting and advisory services to healthcare organisations to address operational efficiency, strategic planning, and sustainable growth. We also develop customised solutions for healthcare startups and organisations addressing unique challenges in Africa’s healthcare landscape.
Case Studies and Teaching Resource Development
We develop case studies that showcase successful healthcare business models, innovative practices, and ethical healthcare leadership within Africa. We create leadership guides, manuals, and teaching resources for healthcare professionals and students, promoting practical knowledge.
Industry and Academic Research
We research current healthcare business challenges and opportunities in Africa and provide insights and evidence-based recommendations for advancing healthcare businesses.
Thought Leadership and Advocacy
Raise awareness and share insights on healthcare management and ethics, engage in advocacy by collaborating with policymakers, healthcare associations, and stakeholders to shape healthcare practices that benefit society, and host or participate in conferences and industry events to discuss emerging trends, challenges, and innovations in African healthcare.
Networking and Community Building
Establish a network of healthcare leaders, experts, and entrepreneurs who can share resources, collaborate on projects, and support each other’s growth. We also plan to organise forums and roundtable discussions to facilitate knowledge-sharing and foster partnerships within the African healthcare ecosystem.

We currently have three programmes targeted at investors, founders, and CEOs/executives of healthcare businesses, such as hospitals, retail pharmacies, diagnostic centres, pharma and chemical industries, development finance institutions and other industries.
