LBS Faculty Member, Ogechi Adeola, Awarded 2017 Paul R. Lawrence Fellowship

LBS faculty member in marketing, Ogechi Adeola, was recently a recipient of the prestigious Paul R. Lawrence Fellowship.

This year marks the third edition of the Paul R. Lawrence Fellowship. Since 2015, it has been given annually to doctoral students and faculty members during their first three years on the tenure track.

The fellowship is offered by the Case Research Foundation and the North American Case Research Association (NACRA) to academics interested in developing and advancing their skills in case teaching, research and writing.

This year, 11 Paul R. Lawrence Fellowship recipients from around the world — representing only six percent of applicants — were selected to participate in the annual NACRA meeting, which has fellows paired with senior academic mentors and invited to join all conference sessions and proceedings.

Ogechi is a faculty member and Director of the Sales and Marketing Academy at Lagos Business School. Her research focuses on marketing strategies, product development, and distribution in emerging markets, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.

In addition to her DBA and her MBA from Manchester Business School in the UK, she holds a Law degree from the University of Nigeria. She attended management and teaching courses at Cranfield School of Management, UK; the Flexcube Centre of Learning, Mumbai, India; Gordon School of Business Science, University of Pretoria, South Africa; Phoenix Educational Institute, Dubai and International Faculty Programme (IFP), IESE, Barcelona, Spain. She also holds a Certificate in Internet Marketing from the University of Cape Town and Merit Award from the Institute for Financial Management, Bangor, Wales. She is a certified Sales and Marketing Manager (American Institute of Management Studies), and a Visiting International Fellow at the Open University Business School, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom (2016).

Her academic interests include sales force management, new product development, digital marketing, branding strategy and customer service leadership. She has worked in the financial services industry. She is a short story author and has published four books for children.
