Overview

The design of the Management Acceleration Programme draws from Lagos Business School’s experience in creating transformational learning experiences for high potential managers over the last three decades, as well as practical insights from experienced talent managers. It is designed to enhance emerging leaders’ performance readiness, fast-track their careers and accelerate their impact on the organisation.

Learning Objectives and Benefits

To prepare the emergent leader for the rudiments of leadership. This programme will help the participants to understand the internal and external business environment. Participants will have the unique benefit of gaining new business perspectives through interaction with a multi-disciplinary faculty who have real-life experience at senior levels in multinational organisations. It considers that the participants in this class will return for the Senior Management Programme at Lagos Business School after two or three years.

At the end of the programme, participants will:

Our integrated curriculum has been restructured to be delivered through three modules each with themes representing the courses within it. The programme rests on the bedrocks of Self-leadership, Teamwork, Emergent Team Leadership and Intrapreneurship.

Mode of Delivery

The Management Acceleration Programme runs for three weeks over three months with one week every month for class sessions.

Faculty

Belinda Nwosu

Dr Belinda Nwosu
Academic Director

Belinda is a Fellow and Trustee of the Institute of Hospitality (UK), a recipient of the 2022 Paul R. Lawrence Fellowship in case research and a Certified Hotel Industry Analyst with STR Global. Before joining LBS, Belinda worked as a Senior Consultant at W Hospitality Group. She also worked in Vocational Education and Training at Wavecrest College of Hospitality for several years. In both these roles, Belinda engaged in several initiatives to develop human capital for the services sector, especially in the design, development, and delivery of targeted training interventions, consulting projects and speaking engagements.

She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Southampton, UK, with other degrees in hospitality and statistics.

Henry Onukwuba

Henry teaches Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour and Management Communication on the regular and executive MBA classes, Owner Manager Programmes, custom programmes and other executive programmes at Lagos Business School.

He has held various senior administrative positions at the School as Director of Executive Education, MBA Director and Director of Alumni Relations, prior to joining the full-time faculty team.

Francis Okoye

Dr Francis Okoye

Dr Okoye is a full-time faculty in the department of Accounting at Lagos Business School, an experienced research consultant with a demonstrated history of working in the research industry.

He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Statistics from the University of Benin. He also has a Master degree in Financial Accounting and Doctorate degree in Accounting with specialisation in Forensic Accounting.

His core area of research interest includes forensic accounting (financial statement fraud) and financial reporting. He facilitates sessions in corporate financial accounting, cost and management accounting as well as quantitative method in Business in the full-time MBA, Executive MBA, Modular Executive MBA, as well as custom programmes.
