Report Launch: Ethical Portrait of the Nigerian Health Sector

The problems of the Nigerian Health Sector (NHS) are multifaceted. Ranging from inadequate funding, inadequate human resources for health (HRH), inadequate access to health, malpractice, and negligence.

CKCRLE sought to explore the level of ethical awareness and practice in the delivery and receipt of healthcare services across different regions in the country. Respondents included healthcare users, practitioners, and managers.

The findings from the study suggest that although ethical awareness is high, its practice is far from ideal. It is imperative that Stakeholders engage and have these difficult conversations on issues plaguing the health sector. It is only by so doing that we begin to identify possible solutions and attain progress.
