Maritime Management
Overview:
The involvement of the private sector in the unbundling of the Nigerian seaports into different entities under the Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) in 2006 has brought to the forefront the lack of local manpower required to effectively position the terminals, the users and the regulatory agencies in the international competitive maritime terrain. Furthermore, the importance of the seaports and the associated linkages within the context of economic development demands the need to continuously upgrade the skills and capabilities of the managerial staff of these entities.
This five-day programme is designed to help sustain the level of development of the staff of organisations in the maritime sector. The programme will equip managers and senior executives with enhanced fundamental knowledge on the strong links between maritime and supply chain and logistics management, as well as provide an insight into the dynamics and challenges faced in the industry in Nigeria today.
The programme will be delivered by a combination of local experts with considerable practical and theoretical capabilities in maritime operations and related activities.
