Description	Much of the tax regime relating to the financial services institutions takes the form of practice and concession which is not readily available. A thorough knowledge of it is of vital importance in the presentation of the institution's tax affairs to the Nigerian tax authorities. The seminar highlights those general principles of taxation which have application to all aspects of the financial services business and for those in banking, insurance, leasing and other financial services as well as their advisers. The seminar confirms the areas of the law and practice which are certain, and identifies the uncertain, thus providing a solid foundation for tax compliance and planning. It will be of use to both those who have experience in taxation and people who are new to the function but desire more knowledge in tax treatment of financial services transactions.
